French Creek Clean-Up’s Successful Second Year

Many thanks to all of the hard-working volunteers who participated in this year’s stream clean-up in Phoenixville on Saturday, April 26! Twenty-five volunteers–including students from the Phoenixville Middle School Environmental Awareness Club, Camphill Soltane, and Montgomery County Community College–worked in two different areas along the French Creek. Together they removed over 80 bags of litter, almost 30 tires, and a refrigerator! PennDOT crews disposed of the trash as part of the Great American Clean-up of Pennsylvania and the 2014 Schuylkill Scrub.
