Get up close and personal with live owls and learn more about these amazing hunters, touch feathers, and talons, take part in various activities, and a nature walk in search of our local wild owls. Refreshments provided. Appropriate for ages 6-Adult only.
Fees: GVA Members $5 per child, $3 per adult; Nonmembers $7 per child, $5 per adult.

Enjoy a guided walk of Welkinweir with our volunteer naturalists in search of migrating birds and other wildlife. Bring binoculars and field guides if you have them. Rain or shine.

Green Valleys Association’s Board of Directors and Staff cordially invite you to our Annual Holiday Cheer Sunday December 11, 2011 5 to 7 p.m.
Space is limited so please register early. RSVP by December 7th to 610-469-4900 or gva@greenvalleys.org or use the online registration below.
Join us at the Estate House which will be beautifully decorated by local volunteer groups. Enjoy holiday music performed on the historic Skinner pipe organ and caroling by the Colonial Revelers. Storytelling for children. Catered light fare provided. Members are encouraged to bring a friend or neighbor.

Saturday, December 10
Children’s Holiday Crafts at Welkinweir Estate House, 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Children can make and take home ornaments, wildlife feeders, and other creations made from all natural items. The program will be held in the Carriage House, and is appropriate for children ages 4 to 12 with adult supervision. Fees per child are $8 for GVA members and $10 for nonmembers.
All craft materials provided by GVA.

This program is part of the annual Holiday Open House at Welkinweir. This historic home will be beautifully decorated by local garden clubs and the horticulture students at OJR and will be open to the public from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday December 9 and from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday December 10. Friday will feature a concert on our Skinner pipe organ, along with guided tours of the home and light refreshments. Donations are appreciated.
