Envirofest is a free, family fun event that provides educational resources, offers advice, exhibits, “How-To” Clinics, and interactive educational programs on how we can reduce our pollution and resource consumption. Living in a sustainable manner is essential to protect and preserve not only our environment but also the health of our families, and future generations. In making the world a more livable and healthy place, we improve our own lives and the lives of those around us.
The whole family can enjoy a day in the great outdoors by taking part in a 5K/1 mile Run/Walk, a newly added Bike Tour, nature walks, free fishing on the pond, slithering with snakes, birds of prey talk, and engaging in environmentally-themed games. Regional experts present hands-on demonstrations and clinics on a variety of topics. At the end of the day, people who attended Envirofest leave with a better understanding for how human activities affect the environmental and human health in Chester County, and create fond memories to last a long time.
The festival is held at our beautiful 197-acre educational center, Welkinweir, located in northern Chester County on 1368 Prizer Road off route 100, south of Rt 23.
