GVA offers Classroom and On-site (our 197-acre headquarters at Welkinweir) environmental education programs for students in grades K-7 during the school year. Programs are designed to supplement school curriculums by providing hands-on environmental study, incorporating problem solving strategies and encouraging cooperative learning. Programs assist teachers in meeting instructional requirements which address Pennsylvania Environmental and Ecology and Science and Technology Academic Standards.

Classroom Programs involve outdoor study in the schoolyard. These lessons can also be used to introduce and prepare students for programs at Welkinweir. Classroom Programs can accommodate groups of up to 60 students.

Classroom Programs: 1 class, up to 1 hour = $75 / $35 each additional, same-day programs.
