We provide opportunities for students to interact with the natural environment on a variety of themes including pond ecology, water systems, tree and plant studies, land resources, forest health and birds. Through hands-on activities using observation skills and a variety of scientific tools, students explore the components of the natural and built environment. Our School Programs serve public and private schools, scouts, home school groups and kindergartens. We offer Classroom (off-site) and Natural Site (at GVA's headquarters at Welkinweir) environmental education programs for students in grades K-7 during the school year.
Please call Dawn White at 610.469.8646 or email dkauffman@greenvalleys.org for program information, to register for a program, or to discuss a program idea.
The Green Valleys Association is pleased to offer our Annual Tree Seedling Sale in recognition of
National Arbor Day celebrated annually in April. Many schools and organizations use this program in
conjunction with Earth Day celebrations and community service activities, and participants have found
that planting and nurturing their own trees is a highly rewarding and educational experience.
This year we are offering 3-year-old White Pine seedlings for $.75 each.
Orders must be placed in increments of 25 seedlings, by contacting Dawn White at 610-469-8646. The deadline for orders is Friday, March 28, 2008.
Please place your order today, and help us protect our environment for a greener tomorrow.
